Support Group at Roger Williams

Do you go to the support group at Roger Williams the fourth Thursdays? Is it okay to bring my hubby with me? What do I need to bring with me? What's it like? Thanks

I go every time and it's always on the 4th Thursday of each month. I really enjoy going, its nice to see people's progress and talk about things that have been going on.

Some people bring their significant others sometimes, I never have, but I definitely dont see a problem with it!

You dont really need to bring anything with you unless you want to take notes or write down some pointers that you learn.

Basically, there is a woman, named Ellie who is the moderator. She introduces herself and is just there for clarification and to make sure that we dont all talk over each other. We sit in a circle and introduce ourselves and then someone usually starts by asking a question and we go from there. We talk about whatever we want. The meeting lasts from 6:00 - 7:30.

Thank you for your reply LB! I'm really looking forward to going. My hubby won't go to many because he will deploying in April for a year. I want to get involved with the support group to start building my 'safety net' prior to my first appt with Dr. Pohl on the 31st and my husband leaving on April 1st. I love, love, love this website! You most certainly can bring a friend or spouse... It is good to have support, no matter what.  Im usually rushing from work to make it to a meeting, so I go alone. Im not able to attend this months I dont think, unless I have a schedule change, but hopefully I will see ya at the next one I can attend. Best Wishes
