Lap Band to a RNY- Insurance

Hi All, I am wondering if anyone knows of any RI Surgeons who do revision WLS- From a Lap Band to an RNY.. AND I am wondering if any of the revision would be covered under BLUE CROSS Insurance. Any info or direction would so be appreciated. Thanks so much, M

sorry- I don;t know of any, as I am still in pre-op testing.  I am actually looking for a surgeon who will possibly do a vertical sleeve instead of a lap band at this point.  If you run into any in your travels- please pass on the info

Unfortunately, I do not know any Surgeons that do the revision.   I am still in the pre-op stage.

I know that if you have a problem with lap band surgery, they will convert it to gastric.  I'm not sure if it needs to be a medical necessity though.

Dr. Pohl, Dr. Giovanni and Dr. Roye are the three surgeons that are most known in RI.   It won't hurt to call their offices.
