Hi i just had my first meal post surgery and i have been so full its awesome.  The only thing is it was plain eggs not bad because i ate them over 45 mins slowly.  The paper work says 1 egg = 6 grams of protein or 1/4 cup so i made 2 which came to 2 / 3 of a cup.  I ate it all with no problems.  Does that sound right and can we add seasoning to the eggs?  Have a great day all!!!

Hi Donnie! That sounds about right to me. I would just keep in mind that right now, being such a new post-op, you wont have all of the sensations of your new pouch so remember that you need to measure EVERYTHING!

As far as seasonings go, feel free to add whatever spices you want to the eggs....I eat mine with Ketchup!

Wow! You can est them so soon?  I still can't and it's been 5 weeks! They are too heavy and sit in my pouch and it feels awful!

eggs were one of my staples early out. I had a lot of trouble with the protein drinks and it was one of the only ways to try to up my protein that I found then. Season them to your hearts content! I liked mine with a lot of seasoning and just a bit of shredded cheese melted on top!

I ate a lot of egg beaters and still do. I like to use Mrs. Dash seasoning..it comes in so many variaties, I love it. Now I like to add spinich and fat free feta to them.. YUM I even use the meal starter ground soy meat. (sort of like hamburger) adds protein and not much fat! Glad to hear all is well..  enjoy the journey
