Valentines day is here and the with it, the end of our first mini-goal .I think most everyone has met, exceeded or came VERY close to meeting their goal!  My original goal was to lose 20lbs for Valentines day and in the end I lost 23!!YAY!! I got eager though and decided to try to lose that last 4 lbs to put me at 100 lost by today and I'm sorry to report I didnt make that. As a matter of fact, my scale was mad at me this morning apparently because its not used to be used any other day than Monday and I'm exactly the same as I was Monday. Oh well....I knew it was a long shot..haha! I'm still glad to have met my original goal of 20lbs and I'm still buying that lingerie, it is valentines day afterall! What was your final outcome?????? Its also time to talk about our next mini-goal for Easter. I've thought about this a lot and I've decided this time I wont set a weight and I'm going to add some accountability for myself with this one. My goal for Easter is going to be a two part goal. First, I want to wear a size 16 jeans comfortably. Right now, I'm comfortably in an 18 but they arent loose.  For the second part,  I have a top that I bought on clearance a while back because I liked it even though I knew it was wayyyy too small at the time. I'm able to get the top on, but its very tight, so the 2nd part of my goal is to fit comfortably in it.  This is where you guys get to have some fun....((((EDITED TO REMOVE PICTURE>..sorry guys, I couldnt stand looking at that any more with wet hair and a really goofy look on my face,  I'll retake and repost soon.)))) This picture is the shirt (and the size 18 jeans..btw), not to mention a horrible picture of me with wet hair and all....(taken after I got out of the shower as an afterthought and in a hurry. As you can see, its not flattering in the least. As part of my accountability,I'll post a new picture every Monday in the shirt in my profile and you guys get to be the judge of my progress on the 2nd part of this goal!  Most of my life I've hated having pictures taken and showing people, that needs to end and I'm hoping this will help me to accept and track changes. So how about you? Whats your next mini-goal?

We are shopping for my treadmill tonight and over the weekend.  This is my V-tines day present (no- hubby IS being romantic, because it is exactly what I wanted).  My goal will to be getting the treadmill, setting it up- and using it, min of 2 hours a week.  How far off is Easter?  I so hope I can get into this mindset.  I have been having a lot of trouble finding energy for anything lately.

Well, for my Valentine's Day goal I wanted to lose 20 lbs as well. I started at 336 and now I weigh 304 so I have lost 32 lbs!!!!!! My Easter goal is going to be to make it to 290. I really really want to break into the 200's....I dont know the last time I was there. I've got to say that this has been a wild ride so far...and I'm loving it!

I like your idea of not setting a goal weight, but just setting goals. I currently dont have a clue what size pants I am wearing because I havent bought any new ones yet. I am planning on going shopping this weekend because I have NOTHING left to wear to work. Yesterday I had an issue with keeping my pants up all day....I dont want to deal with that anymore!

You will be swimming in that shirt in no time.... just be patient!

Hi All,

My mini goal for Easter is: riding my exercise bike for at least 30mins. everday and to have my surgery date.  I am currently up to 20mins, as of today.  So, I think 30mins. is attainable.

Angela,

I don't like taking pictures at all.  I am going to work on taking pictures to show my progress once I have my surgery.   Taking pictures, and not minding it, will definetly be a challenge for me.

OK - I didn't post a mini goal for Valentines day  - but I will add one here for Easter.  I'd really like to be below 200 lbs by then - 16 lbs to go!!! I too hate to have my photo taken - it is getting easier as the weight is going down - I will try to post some new ones soon. Pam

I know I'm a day late but I wanted to post.  Like you Angela, my scale stayed the same...I'm 188lbs.  Easter is March 23.  My goal is to drink more water and to lose another 10 lbs.  I'm training for a half marathon so, I'm 75 percent confident that I'll meet my goal.   Laura, try going to Savers in Warwick or East Providence to buy "new" clothes.  Mondays some things are half off. I know what it's like to have clothes literally fall off.  It's happened to me twice at the gym while on the treadmill.  Luckily, I had another pair of pants underneath. Don't buy too many things though.  I was wearing the same pair of black slacks to work 2x a week for about a month and a half and they no longer fit anymore.  You might even want to try to buy tighter pants that way you get more use out of them.    Good luck everyone!

Sorry this is late, but the last few days have been crazy.  Work has me drivng me insane. I didn't make my goal of being 100lbs down, but came close.  I'm 2.8 lbs from it now. So soon I'll be at the 100lbs gone forever goal. So for my Easter goal I'm shooting for another 10lbs.  Let's see how this one goes.  Unfortunatley my weight loss has slowed down lately, so I"m going to really work at this and keep up with the exercise. ...dave

Angela- I hit that Sears Outlet in Fall River- and found some amazing deals there.  I have it narrowed down betwen one model there (they had several of that model) or one at BJ's.  Both are auto incline, 0-12 mph, heavier weight capabilty, with all sorts of pre-programmed cross training programs and more buttons than I know what to do with.  It comes down to...one has a built in fan and 2 cup holders- the other has a 7" flat screen tv with all sorts of inputs for mp3 players, cable, dvd's, etc.  Do I want to be colled down- or will the tv keep me there longer?  only a difference of $100 between the two of them
