I have heard some horror stories about trying to get Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthmate to approve the surgery.  Does anybody have any helpful information about what to expect while I go ahead with the planning for the surgery?  Thanks a bunch.

I had no problem whatsoever.  You need a medical reason.  That was it.

     I had no issues and had no pre-existing conditions.

I too had no trouble with Blue Cross Healthmate - I have sleep apnea and family history of heart disease and type II diabetes. Pam

I have BCBSRI blue chip and was approved in five days. Good luck. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
