Any Open Post Op Support Groups in RI?

I am ten months post op from  lap RNY.  I have just moved to RI from NH, where I had my surgery. Are there any post op support groups in RI that are open to people who had  their surgery elsewhere?  While I love OH, I really like physically seeing people who are on the same journey. Thanks for any info you may have

Hi and welcome to RI! Yes, there are 2 local groups. One meets at Rhode Island Hospital on the 1st Wednesday of the month (next one Mar 5)  I dont have the specifics on that one, but I'm sure someone will post them fo you....Dawn??? The other is at Roger Williams Hospital on the 4th Thursday of the month (next one Feb 28) in the Kay Auditorium from 6:00-7:30. There is also an "unofficial RI OH" meeting that some of us here on the board are trying to get off the ground. The next one is next Saturday (23rd) at 5pm at my home in Bristol, RI. You are more than welcome to come, if you're interested then just send me a message or post here and I'll send you directions. We'd love to meet you!

Hello!     Welcome to RI.  The answer to your question would be yes, there are a couple of support groups here. One held at Roger Williams, and I do not know the schedule. WOW.  Thanks so much for the replies.   I am actually a returnne to RI.  I grew up here, went to HS and college here, too.  I'm just getting my feet wet as far as getting reacquainted with the state. And thank you for the invite to the unofficial group meeting.  Not sure yet if my schedule will permit, but I will definitiely keep it in mind.
