Stolen from the RNY board: What is your job??

This got a lot of responses on the RNY board, so I thought it might be fun for us, too. What do you do for work? I have a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I work in 3 skilled nursing facilities, mostly with elderly patients who have swallowing disorders. I work 3 days a week, and am home with the kids the other 4 days. How about you?

I am a field researcher in the area of child psychology and development (doesn't it sound impressive!?!?- ok- I am a stay at home mom who worked for Chrysler in warranties till lots of downsizing)- hoping to find something after my surgery

I am  a Dental Assistant for a group of dentists who specialize in Root Canals.  (OUCH!!, I know....but its really not that bad)

I'm an accounting associate for a large company.  I mostly do bookkeeping duties, like sending out checks and posting cash.  I've been with my company for 16 years, and have had a few different positions over that time. Dave

Ok, my turn. I am an Administrative Assistant working for the President and Port Captain of a small cruise line in Warren, RI. I work part-time 4 days a week, have 2 teenage daughters (eek!!!), husband, 2 dogs and a cat.

I am a Continuity Director for a cluster of radio stations in Providence.

I am a Project Manager for a cross-media company. We do websites and print pieces and its my job to make sure projects stay on time, on budget and everything gets done properly. I like to tell people I'm a glorified babysitter.

Well, I'm a customer support specialist and I support 6 e-commerce web sites. I average about 75 to 100 phone calls a day and about 150-200 emails. Plus the added "Extras". Yippee!

I have an Associates in Computerized Business Management and BA in Business Management from New England Tech with the possibility of going back for my CPA soon! Currently I am a full time Bookkeeper/Office Manager for a property management company in Providence. I will be there 5 years in April!

I have a few jobs, one is a CNA for a 2 1/2 yo girl(since the summer) and the other is a Home Based Therapist for a 17 yo boy(I have been with him for 7 yrs now) I am also a Respite provider for families with special needs children. I used to be an Admin. Assist. But after 7 yrs they decided to eliminate my position(Oh yea, just when I was ready to go back to work after surgery!) Well, it was the best thing that has happened to me! I am loving my jobs!
