Hi all, i have a simple question.  I am 4 days in on my liquid diet and i am wondering is there an easy way to cope with the cravings for food between shakes and dinner.  I am doing it but whew its tough, i keep reminding myself i am doing this for me and my future.  This is tough but i will accept and suggestions. Thanks, Donnie

Hi Donnie, I found that when I was doing the liquids if I wanted somthing I would substitue it with water. It is tough at first but then you get into the rythem and it prepares you after the surgery. The other would be to chew sugar less gum(only before surgey :)) and sugar free mints. Well I hope this helps a little!!!! Diana

Hi Donnie,  I didnt really find an easy way, but I did find that after 4-5 days the liquid diet was soooo much easier. That first few days are tough but then your body seems to adjust to the new "diet"  Good Luck!

Sorry Donnie,  don't have any good advice.  You are doing so well and you know you can do this.  It is important and temporary.  You can do it!!!!

Thanks,  I do appreciate the input, i am still doing it and going on day 6 so it is getting easier, its just a focus issue i was having and im happy to say i am focused.  My Dr. told me not to chew the sugar free gum or else i would be lol.  I love to chew gum but i need to follow the orders put in place in order to be sucessful.  I cant get over how fast this is going i told myself to keep busy and i am, it helps me to deal with the cravings, that and plenty of crystal light sips.  Im sure i will be fine just needed to get used to the diet.  Thanks You. Donnie
