Returning period?

I just got home from the hospital and for the days I was in the hospital, there was nothing but clear urine coming out of me. A week before my surgery, I finished my period and started a new pack of birth control pills. Fast forward a week, past surgery, three days off pill, and Lovenox shots, and no kidding...my period is back. Is this possible or something I need to call my doctor about. I have normal cramps and everything. Just curious...

I wondering if it could be a hormonal thing or even alittle stress. My period cycle often plays tricks on me (I'm not on BC) when I have any kind of change whether it be dieting, change of meds or even stressful times. I have questioned it with my doctor on the meds and she swears that it shouldn't have effected it but it happens all the time.  The bleeding might not be a full period either...it sometimes happens to me where I go my full 7 days, it ends and 2-4 days later I have another 2 days of bleeding lightly.   As far as the clear urine..if you were on a liquid diet prior to surgery...that would have done it.

Hi Sarah, It is very common for this to happen.  Thank God it did not happen to me.  I have heard that a lot of people start while in the hospital.  It has something to do with stress and the trama to your body.  I imagine with the shots, it is makign it worse..  YUCK!!!!! jen Glad we had a chance to talk the other day.  Call me if you need ANYTHING!

I think mine was brought on by stress. I had NO, count em, zero periods for about 5 months before my surgery and wouldn't you know it, as I'm sitting to check in at 530 in the morning at roger williams, and here it came!!!!
