Has anyone every been re-tested for this?  I got a positive result in my original bloodwork so I've been on antibiotics for the past 2 weeks.  I have to go get re-tested in a month & I'm not sure what sort of test they are going to do.  I'm hoping it's just another simple blood test but I'm begining to worry it's not.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Im afraid I havent heard of it, but wanted to wish you luck! I would probably call the surgeon and just ask. My guess would be if its antibiotics, it should be pretty easy to deal with.  Keep us posted and let us know how you're doing!

Hello,

Here's a definition a found on the web:

Helicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative bacterium that infects the mucus lining of the stomach and duodenum. Many cases of peptic ulcers, gastritis, and duodenitis are caused by H. pylori infection. However, many who are infected do not show any symptoms of disease. Helicobacter

Hope This Helps,

MY friend has it too.  At one point she had to take these antibiotics that looked like horse pills.  It comes and goes.  I don't recall what kind of testing she had to do but i know she went to see a specialist and since laying off the coffee she's done better ( she was a huge coffee drinker).

HI rc, I had that. They found when i had my endoscopy. i took antibiotics and pepto for a few weeks. its just a stomach infection and i guess many people have it without having symptoms or even knowing about it. Perhaps they will do an endoscopy for you, but im sure the DR wiuld be happy to discuss it with you! best of luck

Thank you all for your help with this.  I found out that they do some sort of breath test to check for it again.  Now I have to wait until Feb 26th.  I can't stand the waiting!!!
