psych eval
ok- I finally scheduled it. I called Dr Friedman's office first and was so impressed with the amazing woman I spoke with on the phone, that even though they do not take my insurance, I am going there. She told me that she would gladly help me appeal the insurance company and I would most likely incure a charge with the other Dr on the sheet also. Just wondering (i know all insurance is different- so I am not making this my answer- just polling) if anyone occured charged going to the offices of Dr Messier/Zimmerman/Boerescu for some of the testing or report process?
I only had a $25 co-pay. I too was going to go to Dr. Friedman because the wait was so long at Dr.Zimmerman but I was on a cancel list so I got in even sooner than I would have with Dr. Friedman. I agree, the woman who answers the phone there is fabulous! I'm glad I put myself on the cancel list because when it came down to dealing with an appeal to the insurance company, I just didn't want to deal with it.
Both offices you listed did not accept my insurance. Those were my 2 choices given by my surgeon. I chose Friedman because he was the cheapest of the 2 as I was paying out of pocket. His secretary was very nice and helpful. Dr. Friedman was also very nice and easy to talk to. I had no regrets with my choice.
I too plan to appeal it but I'm waiting on my nutritionist bill because that too had to be paid out of pocket. That one was not paid at the time of service as I was told the hospital will bill me.
Good luck!
