Hi Elamy!! I was in Roger Williams on a friday too and share Dr. G as a surgeon. She also couldn't come and see me on saturday. ( Think she lives out of state) But any way. I had lap band on October 19th and too struggled with gas. The best thing i found that helped was warm chicken broth, Gas Ex Strips, and letting my shakes settle a bit before drinking. (Shaking causes gas bubbles, and you drink those down into your new belly and cause cause lots and lots of pain) and DON'T STOP WALKING. It's a long road we have a head of ourselves here, but please know, Dr. G is truley a wonderful woman, and ANY questions that you have call the office and she will call you right back. (Usually within an hour or so) I had to go to the ER on Dec. 30th I thought I had a slippage and they called her, blah blah blah. She called me the next day personally to let me know there was no slip and to check on how I was feeling. There's lots and lots of support and wonderful people on this site and any questions that you have please feel free to ask!! Good luck with the gas,
Lauren

Hi Elamy and welcome! The gas pains will get better with each day, just walk as much as you can. It really does help.  I have Dr Pohl, but the day I got hom from the hospital I ended up sick and called in. Dr Giovanni was on call and called me right back and even called the following day to check in on me. You have a wonderful Doctor.  Dr Pohl and Dr Giovanni are wonderful! Good Luck in your journey, keep us posted.
