Sleep Study -Pre-Op

Hello Everyone,

Went to my sleep study consult today and the Nurse Pract., Lauren, was very nice.   I only have to do the sleep study test (I have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea and use the cpap machine every night).  I am glad to be doing the sleep test because I think I need to have the air flow increased, based on what Lauren and I talked about.  Here's my schedule sleep study 1/15/2007 and follow up with Lauren 1/28/2007.  Last on the list will be my blood test. 

Robin,  You have breezed through those tests. I don't know why it took me so long to get appointments. Maybe it was the timing (before the holidays)? Anyways...I have my sleep study follow -up this week. If all goes well, I'll be heading right over for my blood work and then I'll be done also.  Good luck to you!

Your right about getting my test done quickly, maybe it was the timing?  Thank God for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am trying now to change my mindset to be healthier wholistically.   It's not easy but I think it's better to get into the groove now than to have a tougher time later.

Were you already diagnosed with sleep apnea?  Lauren said because I was already diagnosed it is a lot easier.   They just want to make sure that my air flow is correct, since my last sleep study test was 12/2005.  My follow up is 1/28/2008 @ 10:45am.  I'm not going to eat anything so after my follow up I can go and get my blood test.   Good luck with you follow up and blood work.   

I called Dr. Ryder's office today about the bruising and was told that it's normal and some people are more sensitive than others on that area of the body (that's good news but I will still reminder her when I go for my follow up after all the pre-op).
