Thanks for the Introductions, its so great to be able to put a personal background with the names! If you're lurking and didnt add an introduction, what are you waiting for?? Just look for the "Lets Liven things up" thread and lets hear all about you!  Lauras thread on what we're eating is wonderful! Now I really have to watch myself! So how about now we all destress just a little? This is something thats done on the RNY board and seems to go over well. What do you have today thats annoying you? Please keep it board friendly and do not talk about anyone by name and nothing about other board members. I will delete any postings that could be offensive and I really dont want to have to delete any posts! My rant for today?? My boss-- Before going out for surgery my boss and I discussed that I should be receiving a commission on the  work that I manage, he agreed and told me it would start after I returned. Now that I'm back and here full time again I asked about it and I've been put off. He didnt like that I was out for a week longer than I had planned (2 1/2 weeks total!) and that I've had to follow up with the nutritionist and surgeon, so his response to me was that we will look at me getting commissions once I've been back to work for 30 business days without having to take a day off or time out for an appt!  This basically cuts me out of $2500-$5000 a month until I get settled enough to not have an appt for a few months. Since I have nutritionist every 6 weeks and Dr Pohl again beginning of March as well as the endocrinologist and PCP follow up post-op I have no idea when I might be able to hope to get this done! ok..I feel a bit better now....so whos next?

Hi Angela - How the heck did you get back to work after 2 1/2 weeks?  I'm heading back next monday which will give me 4 1/2 weeks - figured why pu**** as long as I have the time.   About the boss - will he allow you a flexible work schedule to be there the 30 days?  My employer allows me to come in to work earlier ( I usually work 8-4:30) but they allow me 7 - 3:30 on days I have an appointment  - this way I can schedule last appointment of the day.  This doesn't always work but it may help you get those 30 days in a row :) Good luck :) Pam

Hi Pam- I was stupid and thought since after a week with my c-sections I was just fine that since my surgery was just before Thanksgiving a week plus the 4 days of Thanksgiving break would suffice. While I was fine pain wise, I was just way too tired to go back after that time and took another week off and returned the following week (still tired I might add) I really wish I had planned for more time off.  He did say I could  leave early the first week back, but that really only happened once because I had tons of stuff waiting for me when I got back! I think this is just his way of putting it off as long as possible, this isnt the first time hes done something like this, so now its just a waiting game.

Well Angela...perfect day for this....here is MY rant!

I am careful about what I eat. I have bought some no sugar added pasta sauce so I can have meatballs. Last night my mother made some meatballs and I asked her NUMEROUS times if she used the NSA sauce so I dont get sick..... She told me that she did..... For some reason I didnt believe her, so I went into the garage and looked in the recycle bin for the can of NSA sauce...needless to say, it wasnt there. There were 2 jars of Ragu, which I wont eat (I'm afraid to dump). So I confront my mother about it and ask why she lied and she yells at ME for asking her. So, I had nothing to eat so my boyfriend and I decided just to make it easier we would go to Wendy's so I could have chili.... My mother gets even more mad at me. So, we havent spoken since yesterday.

I'm not trying to sound like a b*tch or a baby...its not the point of the sauce. I dont like to be lied to and what if I hadnt checked and I got sick. I dont think that would have been fair.

Anyhow.....wow, I feel better!

Want to share, but it is all a little to fresh for me still  Needless to say...had a really really bad day at work and I am not sure it will be better tomorrow.  In general things that are annoying me are... - people not doing their job - people trying to do my job - people who don't take responsiblity for their actions - people who are unprofessional at work   last by not least... BULLIES!!!! Okay - so while it may still be fresh - putting it down on paper did help...

Things that have really bothered me lately: Poverty- it hit me up-close & personal immediately prior to Xmas.  When I was out campaigning I saw too much.  I still get calls when people are desperate or have complaints.  Kids with no tree & no presents & no toilet paper is criminal.  So why do we tolerate it.  Ending- I found people to help. Relatives - not all, just some. Kidney stones- passed one & had a treatment for the other.  Beyond annoying, take my word for it! Slow metabolism.  Grrr!  And a drippy nose - all day on New Years'.  What was that all about? Good thing - no boss!!!! Islander Eileen
