2nd Appt

Hey everyone,  i  am curious my 2nd follow up with dr pohl is next week he made me lose 40 lbs in between visits which i did.  He also told me i will have to be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks has anyone else had to do this and how long after the second follow up do you get a date because i have pre op testing complete and approved for a while now.  Thanks

Sounds like you are on track for a date.  I got a call 2 days after my second visit.

Dr Pohl requires everyone to lose weight before he will schedule surgery to prove that you can do it and you're willing to follow the guidelines. At my second appt I received my surgery date before I left which was for just over 2 weeks later. I started the liquid diet the following Monday and the time flew by.  If you're seeing Dr Pohl in Johnston you will probably get your date that day, if its in East Providence they will have to call you with it but you'll probably have it in a few days.  good luck, Let us know how the appt goes!
