Best place to buy treadmill?
Angela -
My husband and I bought one in November at Sears in Dartmouth. The sales person showed us all of the options until we found one we were comfortable with. He didn't focus on the more expensive ones - he was great. We ended up with a Nordic Track... this one seemed to suit us best. It was on sale that particular week for $599. We ended up buying the Nordic Track service contract with it too.
If you'd ever like to come over and try it on for size - please let me know. I'd love to visit with you :)

I too have a Nordic Track and it was bought at Sears in Sweansea 3 yrs ago. I had great service as well. At the time...I shopped around and didn't focus totally on price but price was obviously a factor. I wanted something more industrial because they are better quality. I believe I paid about $700 and well worth it. Runs great and still looks and feels like it's brand new.
This is deffinately the time to buy...shop around, try them out and compare prices.

Hey Girl,
I hear the Nordic Track products are great. If I were buying though, I would look at consumer reports and check out all your options. I am sure you can search on-line for where to buy the best product. When spending that kind of money, you want to get the best product possible.
Good Luck,
Jen
epinions.com is a great place for real opinions from people who bought products. I have been looking into the nordictrack treadclimber for a couple of months. It is expensive ($1500-2500 depending on features), but the really cool thing is that it is an inclined stepper as well as a regular treadmill. I saw an infomercial and was hooked- (I am such a sucker for those- luckily I hide the credit cards)
I was really planning on coming- but we got even MORE bad news on our new house tonight. The MORON we are buying it from never did the smoke detector certifcations (he is a fire marshall too!!!) The person that does it in the town is now on vacation- until next weds!!!!! (we need to close on the 31st- Monday!) I am home completely depressed right now and don;t know what to do at this point. It has been a road of problems since we signed the purchase and sales agreement. (well failed inspection, owners' bank ready to repossess, etc)
Sorry for whining- I am just feeling so beaten down at this point- almost like someone is telling me to run away screaming from this house- though it has been 2 years worth of searching to find. I really needed to go to the meeting for some much needed inspiration- unfortunately, not this month....
