Home and Banded
Hi guys, I'm home.
I was banded on Wednesday and came home on Thursday. They kept me overnight. I had the worse experience with the staff at RIH. I should say in recovery. First they wouldn't let my husband come in and see me. I was in recovery from 11:30 to 9:30p.m. They had to wait for a bed. The Nurse I had was not very friendly. And the nurses the floor weren't very knowledgeable. The CNA's were nicer and more helpful. I had to wait .30 minutes to get help to go the the bathroom.
Other than that I'm just a bit sore. The gas pains were the worse. I couldn't sleep on my bed I had to sleep on the couch propped up.
But Today all is better. I'm so happy I decided to do this. It feels weird not to be hungry.
Thanks for the inquiry Alexia.
I am so happy you are home now and feeling better. I wish you have had a better experience at RIH. I truly don't understand why your husband couldn't go in and see you. They better hope they keep me sedated if they want to do that to me... Sigh. Well, Glad you're ok now. To a new beginning... cheers!

Hey there,
My surgery was at 8:00 am and from what I hear I was done by about 10. They would not let my husband or my mom come in either. I was finally brought to a room at about 3:30. I was freaking out because they had to leave to relieve the babysitter by 5 and I thought for sure I was not going to get to see them before they left.
I had a really good experience with the staff. I am sorry you did not. That sucks. But, glad you are on the losers bench and feeling good. There was a lot of us this week. We need to celebrate once we can all eat.
Take Care,
Jen
