I'm home and happy and banded!
Hi everyone! I'm officially on the "bandwagon"! I was banded at Roger Williams on Tuesday with Dr Giovanni. First, she is wonderful! She spoke to be before surgery and came to see me first thing in the am (I had to sleep over because I have sleep apnea - if you have sleep apnea Dr Giovanni wants you to stay over to be monitored). Anyway, the nurses in the recovery room and on 4 central of Roger Williams were top-rate! My family and I were very impressed with their levels of knowledge, compassion and professionalism of the whole staff.
Today I'm sore and bored. I'm having trouble getting down the shakes. This week is shakes only with plain broth or sugar free pops if I want. As of now, I don't want anything else. I have a new feeling - not being hungry or craving any food. Last week I actually threw a soft pillow at the tv when a commerical for my favorite candy (three muskateers) came on. Okay, I'm emotional! THe commericals aren't bothering me, yet. I figure it all comes back at some point but right now it's all good.
Thanks for all the support here! Your advice, suggestions, and the whole message board is so helpful! God bless!
Jules
Congrats Jules!! I just met with Dr, Giovanni yeaterday. She is so nice!!!! Its nice to hear that you were well taken care of. How long did Dr. Giovanni have you do the shakes before the surgery? Are you drinking the shakes from the office or something else? How long did you have to take out of work? Sorry for all the questions. When I was talking to her yesterday I couldn't think of any questions, and now I have a million!! Its just nice to have someone who has the same Dr. and had the same procedure as I will be having. I hope you are still feeling great and good luck on your weight loss journey!!
