Wow, what a great start to a new life.  I cant believe how good I feel.  Today was good, my hubby took the kiddo's to school and gave me the morning alone.  I caught up on my show's that we DVR'd.  Visiting Nurses came to check on me and I was able to eat some cream soup.  It tased SOOOOOOO good.  I also tried a SF pudding.  That was like heaven.  It is really funny to look at a 4oz cup of soup as a portion.  At one point in time, that would have been like 2 big bites...YIKES!!!! I love my new tummy and I am so glad I made this desicion. Take care all. Jen

Dear Jen, Didn't I tell you??!!  I LOVE the Visiting Nurses. The amount needed to fill yourself up is amazing.  I can't figure out how I'm still alive.  For T'giving I ate everything - just really tiny amounts. I only had a little pain if I laughed or coughed.   I lose slowly, but it's a relief to see that scale go down & not up.  I feel better than I have in a long time & have tons of energy.  Well, most of the time.  I've been working out & instead of feeling energized, I'm tired.  That's because I had to stop workouts for awhile. You'll just keep feeling better & better.  I'm just delighted for you. Eileen

wow!!  That is great at how good you are feeling and so fast!!

Don't mind me if I am really jealous of all you skinny people for a while- had to start shopping for a formal dress for my husband's holiday party today- boy was that depressing!

Good for you Jenn. I'm happy you are doing so well.  I didn't know we could do Cream of Soup and Pudding,  I was told clear liquids all week.  That would be wonderful.  I don't know how much more Broth I can take.

Hi Jen, I'm so glad you're doing great. I'm starting to get a little nervous and excited I have 10 days to go till I get banded. I'm so nervous about what to eat I keep reading over and over what the dietian gave me for the whole 6 weeks after surgery. My first week is all clear liquids no cream soup till week 2. I quess everyone is different. Keep up the great work

I could be totally wrong about the soup.  The dietian came in to see me when I was all drugged up and explained the diet to me.  I had gone to a teaching class too.  When I came home I was all confused about what to eat so I called the dietian and she has still never called me back.  So I called Dr, Royes office and spoke to Kathleen.  She said to follow the graph I was given.  It says that in the hospital I should have been given both Clear and Full liquids.  Well, I never was given full's.  Then it said to come home on liquified pureed.  To me, that sounded too soon but she told me what to eat.  I did another day of clears and then I went to fulls.  All has sat nicely in my new tummy.  I was thinking about purees today, but I think I am going to wait.  i dont want to ruin a good thing.  Honsetly, I am not really hungry.  Getting food into me is sometimes an issue.  I am trying hard to sip sip sip.  I do well most days.  Also, I have a UTI from the catheter in the hospital.  My DH has to go today and get me my meds for that.  Another reason why I dont really want to drink.  You know, what goes in, must come out!  OUCH!!!!!!

PLEASE, dont worry.  You will be fine.  I really feel like this was the BEST thing I ever did for myself!  I truly have NO pain.  I feel GREAT!

Take Care,

Jen
