My Surgery was Cancelled today

Well - I got to RI Hospital at 6 am as I was instructed - while waiting for admissions to register me a nurse came out to get me - turns out Dr. Roye's wife is in LABOR!!!!  - after all that prep I am to be called today for rescheduling - so be warned - you may be bumped from the schedule if you're scheduled soon! I'll keep you updated ! Pam

I'm so sorry you got cancelled Pam, I would guess though that they will get you in in the next few days. Keep up informed and let us know when you get rescheduled for.

Ouch!  Sorry Pam!  Babies come at the most inopportune time.  I hope it won't be long now.  I'm sorry that happened.

Oh my God, I'd be pissed! They'll fit you in, but the mental prep that goes into it is the worst and to get psyched up. Thinking of you.

thanks all - it's been quite a roller coaster ride - I still don't have a new date but will let you all know as soon as I do. 

There really is no one to be pissed at - a new life is coming into the world and I'm very happy for Dr. Roye and his wife.  Disappointing yes, but what can you do? Oh well - hugs to you all Pam
