Healthcare Insurance

Hello Everyone, I decided to call my healthcare provider (United Health) and ask them if WLS was a covered procedure under my plan.  Guess What???? It is, Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That's a real blessing for me All I have to do now is what for my surgeon to submit the paper-work and go from there.

I hope it all works out for you with UHC!  I was also supposed to be covered 100% for WLS but when it came down to the approval, to this day, I am still fighting it. I pray yours goes exceptionally smooth! Nobody should have to endure what they dish out. Best of Luck.. ~Dawn

Thanks Dawn, You are right, no one should have to jump through hoops when they state a procedure is covered at 100%.   I was told it depends on your employer and what coverage they chose???  I work for the State of Rhode Island and was told by others who had wls that they were covered 100%.  Prayerfully everything will go smoothly.
