Home again
Well, I had my RNY on Tuesday and got home yesterday. Dr Pohl was absolutely wonderful and the nurses at Roger WIlliams were great. I'm tired but the pain is minimal. I have absolutely no desire for food, actually the thought of it makes me cringe. I'm having to force myself to drink even half of a shake. Had one scary moment last night, Hubby and FIL made dinner and the smell made me sooo sick. I was nascious for hours and then about 9pm I started dry heaving. I called Dr Pohls office and Dr Giovanni called me back. She asked me about my water intake and I havent been doing that great. She told me I was likely dehydrated and to get more water in. If I got any worse or the heaving continued to go to the ER. I started sipping water and sure enough I am feeling much better today. Dr Giovanni even called this morning to see how I was doing. Few more days and I'll be good as new I think, Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and thoughts. I probably wont be on much for a few days, but I'll make it back eventually.

It's great to hear stories of how good Dr Pohl and Giovanni are. I haven't had any interaction with Dr Pohl, but I hear he is great. He does mention at the seminar that one of them is always on call, so if something goes wrong there is someone to talk to. You are a great example of this. Hope you feel better soon and are up and about and ready for this great journey. dave
