Women's Issue

Hi Ladies,   Does anyone know what to do if you get your Menstrual Cycle on your surgery date?  I forgot to ask.  I'm afraid I'll be at the beginning  of my cycle.  Did anyone experience this?

I didnt experience that, but not sure that it would make a difference!

Thanks Jullee.  I know it won't affect the Surgery itself.  I just don't if I could use a tampon or what I need to do.  I'll call the office just to see.   LOOKING GOOD.  I know you've had issues hope all is resolved.  How are you feeling today.

They said NO Tampons in the hospital at the teaching class.  I imagine you can just use those nasty pads...

I didn't experience it for this surgery, but on another I did and it didn't matter.  They may change the date if you didn't feel comfortable about it. nancy

I did....just let the nurses know.  They might have you wear a belted pad.

Mine came right after the surgery, like within hours. I wasn't expecting it, but the nurses told me that sometimes the anesthesia can set it off, or just the body's reaction to the trauma of surgery. They gave me pads and these funky stretch net underwear. It's no big deal to them, although I was a bit uncomfortable about it. The nurses (male and female alike) were just so terrific! When they gave me the underwear, they said oohhh here ya go, Victoria's real secret. Best of luck to you. Congrats! Pam

Great question...I wondered this myself but didn't want to ask...LOL For me..it always seems to come when I have something fun to do or somewhere nice to go! Never fails!
