Hello Everyone

I would like to let everyone know, I have been lurking for a bit because I have been going through some pretty traumatic  issues with the  insurance company for my WLS.  I wanted to keep up with everyone but just couldn't bring myself to chit chat at the time. My apologies.  I have been once again denied.  Not sure how many blows I can take from this. I do have some good news though.  Today my husband came in with a piece of paper and pointed something out to me... to me, all it looked like was more bullcrap from the insurance, but I missed something important. My husband as of January 1 has changed us over to BCBS and I can send the claim in immediately the following day... no stips, no nothing. I am so grateful to him. The company he works for did not offer any other insurance until today. Now I know, if it doesn't go through by end of December, I'll only have to wait a couple of more weeks for an answer from BCBS. All my ducks are in order and I should have no problems... meaning, ALL my tests are done and over with, except for one, which is a immediate appt. I wanted to apologize for not being around for everyone. I love you guys! I'm still going ahead full steam with the holiday party and will see you at the meeting on Nov 7th. I will be able to get an answer for it then. ~Dawn~    

Dawn, Keep your chin up, it will happen!!!       My situation was very similar. switched to BCBS, and got approved in DAYS. You're in my thoughts and Prayers, Patty

I missed ya Dawn!!!  I am so happy for you about the change in insurance- hopefully your long battle will be done with soon!!  I absolutely understand about you not wanting to jump for joy for others while fighting that.  fingers crossed for your VERY happy new year

Dawn,  I'm so sorry that you've been denied again, but its great that you're switching to BCBS. I was approved 24 hours after the paperwork went in with BCBS and I'm sure you will be too.

Make sure to keep us posted on whats going on!

Dawn, Sorry you have been through so much. BC/BS seems to be easy to work with...I'm sure you'll have the answer you're looking for! Stay positive!   

Wow, Dawn, that really sucks that you have gone through all that, but I'm so happy there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you! I had BCBS for my sugery and had no problems whatsoever getting approval. Keep us posted about the holiday party, I'm going to try to make it to the meeting on the 7th, but I have to see if I can get a babysitter for that night (my husband is in school).

OMG Donna! I am so excited for you!!! BCBS has a webpage, you can check out stuff they are willing to pay for. The plan I have will even pay for some of the reconstructive surgery following massive weight loss. It really does pay to keep plugging away. I guess it's likely to be a very merry christmas for you! Dawn that is great news!  Did you call the Doctors office to let them know you are switching soon? 

Thanks. Should I call them? I figured Kathleen would find out tomorrow night at meeting, but then again, she's not in the office while there. lol  I would have to call anyways.
