Hi, I've been provided with several names of plastic surgeons to investigate both from my PC and from my surgeon and when I went to check them out on the site, none of them are listed. I'd appreciate any feedback any of you might have on them, I'll post this same message on the RI board and the main board too. Thanks for your help. The docs are: Dr. Lori Polacek

Dr. Iacono

Dr. Schmidt

Dr. David Walek Dr. David Banall Pam PS I checked out the webpages of the docs that had them.

Hi, Lori Polacek jumped out at me.  I hear she's very good.  My cousin who is in the medical field highly recommends her and told me to consider her after my weight loss is complete.  Good luck with whomever you choose.  Jules

Thanks Jules. She has her own webpage that is very informative and professional. I like the idea of going to a woman. Who would know a woman's body better? I appreciate your cousin's input as well. I think it says a lot about a professional when they are respected and admired by their peers.

Hi,

I know soneone who had Dr. Polacek and I heard she was very good.  I had breast reduction surgery a few years ago and I had Dr. Caroline Plamondon in Providence.  She was awsome!!!  Hope this helps!!

I saw Dr. Pam Antanuick (not sure on the spelling) for a consult.  She is next to RI Hospital.  Very nice and considering having her do my surgery. I am also looking into the resident program at RI Hospital as well.

Thanks for the info. I was a little put off by her receptionist, but I like the idea of going to a woman. I just feel she would have a better sense of what a woman is looking for in terms of reconstructive surgery.  I'd love to hear more about your consult. I'm just starting to explore and I'm not exactly sure what I should be asking.  I will also have a consult with the resident program. I know someone second hand who had her surgery there and was very happy with their work. Plus I have been quite happy with the two times I had surgery at RIH. The nursing staff was great, as were all the ER personel. Really everyone was really wonderful. When are you planning your surgery? Were you lucky enough to get any portion covered by insurance? Thanks again Pam
