Dr. Pohl's office/ biotin?

Hi Everyone!  I'm soo close to the end of testing..just the psych eval left and I did the sleep studies but I have to go see Dr. Gupta for the follow-up appt (not until Nov. 20th..grr!)   Do I literally have to wait until every test is done to make my second appointment with Dr. pohl??  I really want a surgery date in December/Jan. because I have them off.. (I'm in school)  If I get a later appointment I have to turn down an internship and it will take me an extra semester to graduate.   I'm stressing! Also, separate note..  anyone taking biotin?  how does it work?  did you start preop or postop?

I have the Biotin, not sure if it really works but Dr. Royes off ice said to start taking it now to get ahead of the hair loss.  I have heard it works, but some say it doesnt. Jen PS:  Yes, most Doc's make you wait until ALL testing is done.  Maybe if you explain your situation, they will break the rules for you though.  Good luck.. Jen

Hi Manda,  I have heard the Biotin works, but I couldnt tell you from personal experience.  Unfortunately, they will not let you make a second appt with Dr Pohl before testing is complete, your insurance approval is in, and Dr. Pohl has signed off saying you can come in for follow up. It can be very stressful, but once they get everything in there it goes very quickly from that point.  Good Luck!!

I am Dr. Giovanni's Patient.  All of your test results must be in the office, no exceptions.  Maybe if you beg the Doctor, not the office staff.  Tears help.  All my data was submitted October 25.  I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  It's all a big waiting game now.  Good Luck to you.  I hope all goes well
