Still nothing

Well it has been a month and still Dr. Pohl's office has not worked on my chart to get me approved.  I'm very disappointed.  One day they tell me one thing, the next day another.  I even had my PCP call and she got a totally different story from all the ones I had heard.  I hope they read these posts so they can understand that I'm sad and hurt that my time for appeal is almost through and I'm going to lose because of them.  That may sound harsh, but doggone it, I call each week asking if there is anything I can do and I'm just told to wait.  "sigh" Leslie

If I were you I would call and ask to speak to the Dr. himself.  He might not be aware of the situation, and maybe he can light a fire under the office staff's Ass.  Don't let it go, and don't give up. Jen

I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble. I know how you feel, I posted a couple of times with the problems I was having with getting paperwork done through his office. The best advice I can give is just keep calling. Even now I am still a little leary. I was supposed to have my follow-up with Dr Pohl on Monday, but they called and rescheduled me for Thur (tomorrow) because Dr Pohl wasnt in Monday. Then on Monday I got a call from Carol at his office saying "I'm looking at your chart and you're not coming in until Nov 12??" They had scheduled me on the wrong day and luckily I'd called so much that Carol knew that had to be a problem and was able to straighten it out.  Call and talk to Carol, shes the office manager. Explain the issues and that your appeal is running out of time. Hopefully she'll be able to help you.  Most of all, keep us updated and I'll be thinking about you. Good Luck

Unfortunately, Carol was on the phone making appointments for surgeries and they would not let me talk to her.  I'm going to call again tomorrow and see if I can get them to let me talk to him.  Heck, I may drop in on them.  and see how they like that. 

Thats the attitude, Dont give up. I'll be in the office at 12:45 so if you end up stopping in at that time and see me there, dont forget to say Hi!

I dont know if I'm nervous about my appt tomorrow or what..but the office manager is Elaine and shes the one who caught my error..NOT Carol. Try talking to Elaine, she has been my best bet for getting things done when I ran into problems.

Oooooh thanks for giving me her name.  I'll call her.  this just has to work out.  I want this before January too so that I don't incur another $600 deductible!  Good luck tomorrow.

Just take a look at my blog.  I can totally relate to what you are saying about the office staff. 

I just spoke with Dr. Pohl himself.  He's awesome.  He told me he has called three times, gave me the dates and asked me to call the insurance company and raise hell.  guess what I'm doing right now?  Calling the insurance company and raising hell.  I'll let you all know how it goes. Thanks for being there for me.  It means more than you know.
