sleep study revisit and end of testing!

tomorrow night is my second sleep study, only this time i have drugs. i have never taken an ambien, so i don't know what to expect. is it really going to allow me to have a good nights sleep even with all that crap on me? does it knock you out? i also have my sleep study follow up on monday and that is my last test. heaven forbid, the doctor's office let me schedule my pre-op appointment until i walk out the door of my last appointment on monday. i don't understand since they are scheduling a couple of weeks out. lame if you ask me. i am hoping to get this done at christmas time. we shall see.

I just finished up my sleep study.  I had two sleep overs also and on the first one I wasn't sure I would sleep so they gave me two pills to take.  They worked fine my only advice is don't take them as late as they had me take them which was around 11:15 especially if you are driving home. They wake you so early in the morning that the pills had not worn off and I had to drive home.  I felt like I was in a daze.  Fortunately  at 6 am not too many people are on the road or I honestly don't know if I would have made it .  I also have never taken a sleeping pill and had no idea how I would react .  If you had trouble sleeping the first time then it's worth it to take the pill. I also have Dr. Roye and after my last consult which was 10-17 I called for an appointment and his secretary gave me one for Nov 2nd.  If you don't have sleep apnea and need a machine you may not  have to wait as long.  They like you to use the machine a couple of weeks before you see him.
