Upcomming Surgeries!!!
Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all having a great day. I just wanted to mention that 2 Rhode Islander's will be having surgery within 1 week!!!

Lauren's is on October 19th, this Friday, everyone please wish her luck, and mine is on October 23rd, next Tuesday.

Good luck to you both, just remember that you'll be well on your way in a few short days and just imagine the things you will be doing, the energy you'll have and how much you'll be improving your health.
I know how excited you are Laura and I wont be far behnd you. I just got a call from Dr Pohls office, my followup is on Monday and I should get my date then!
Thanks Laura, and I'll definately be up to see you next week, what time is your surgery scheduled for? I'd love to come out before, but not sure if I'll be able to, all these appts and time off work are kind of restricting what I can do. When you went in on the 1st did they schedule your surgery that day? The more I sit here, the more I wonder if they'll make the surgery appt that day. My appt isnt until 5:00 so it will be at least 5:30-6 before hes finished, and I dont even know if they can schedule them that late. I'm also seeing Dr Pohl in East Providence so I'm not sure if he schedules them out of that office or not.

My surgery is on the 23rd at 10:30 am, but I have to be at the hospital at 9.
When I went to the office (Johnston) on the 1st, I had my appointment with Dr G, signed a bunch of paperwork consenting to the surgery and then went and sat with Carol and she called RW Hospital, she scheduled my pre-op hospital day and surgery at the same time.
I have never been to the EP office, I dont think that Dr G works from there, so I am not sure if they do the scheduling. It cant hurt to call and just ask them before you go. I know, it would drive me crazy not knowing! Most of the time that I have called the office, they have been nice and helpful, but there is 1 woman there who is really short and not very friendly, I finally met her in person yesterday (I go weigh in once a week) and she kind of gave me an attitude and I gave one right back. She was nice to me after that.
Dont worry about calling too much, I must have called every day until I got what I needed, sometimes more than once a day. They got to know my name really fast! If all else fails, just call and ask directly for Carol. She is the one who does the scheduling, so she will definitely be able to tell you!
