Under forums up top, it drops down, click on lapband and then on the left click on message board. It will bring you all the posts. It is a great tool to help you, believe me, I could not have made it through some days without them....
Yes, you can still have a bite or two of sweets, once you are restricted that is all you can really handle anyway. Like today for instance, I went to a cookout/b-day party and instead of cake, I ate 1 cookie. I did not feel deprived at all and 1 cookie filled me right up. As long as you get your protein in and stay within your calorie "budget" for the day, you will be fine. I don't really count everything but kind of know in a typical day where I can have a little "cheat: or if I can't at all.
Bread won't be bad if your band is fickle like mine. I dont' even attempt it. An example..my absolute favorite thing was chips...any way, shape or form, I LOVED them. Now I am lucky if I can eat about 5 of them...anything more, I get sick. Which is a good thing for me because that is my big redlight food.
