Another week..and still nothing!
I just got off the phone with BCBS and low and behold, my insurance authorization STILL hasnt been submitted! I was told initially it was being sent in on the 24th! I called Dr Pohls office and was told that they were too busy to check my chart to see what was going on. I talked to Elaine and she said someone is coming in especially to go through charts and check to make sure all results are in them and I will get a call tomorrow letting me know if anything is missing. They couldnt even just look to see if everything was there. I have all of my results, if anything is missing I can fax it immediately to them. Even at that, Dr Pohl has to sign off on the chart with everything before they will make the follow up.
Right now I'm not even confident I will get a call back tomorrow, last time I never received a call back when they said I would and I have this fear that I'm going to be waiting and never get a call, then I'll call them again on Friday and get some excuse and be told that something is missing and then have to wait again after they get that for Dr Pohl to be in the office again to sign off on it. Then wait and wait for insurance that was supposed to be submitted a couple weeks ago, be denied and have to go through an appeal....ugh!
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Dr Pohl and I know their office is extremely busy but I'm just getting extremely frustrated and I needed to vent it out and see if anyone had advice.

I would definitely call!!!!!! They may be busy, but you are a patient and they will make time for you. I have found that the best day to call is always on a Friday. From what I was told, they dont do office visits on Fridays, so they can take care of the patients who call.

I did call, that is what has me so frustrated. I was told they couldnt check anything and I would hear from them. I realize its busy, but this is getting rediculous.

As nice as Elaine is, I had a similar issue with this office. I'm a patient of Dr. Giovanni. I ran into roadblocks twice with their office and the only thing that showed results was when I requested to speak with Dr. Giovanni herself. I kept my cool while on the phone, I never raised my voice. Of course Elaine tried to tell me that she was taking care of everything it it wasn't necessary to speak with the doctor. To which I replied, "Are you denying me the right to speak with my surgeon". Sure enough I received a call from the doctor that afternoon. I expressed my concerns and with in 1 week I had an approval.
Similar issues began to occur when it came down to scheduling my date. I had expressed to the doctor that I needed to have sugery in early August due to my schedule. And of course when they called with the appointment it was for August 28th. Again I asked to speak with the surgeon and within 2 days I received a date for August 14th. Just advocate for yourself get them to understand it from your point of view. I hope this helps a littlle. Good Luck.

I'm glad to know its not just me. I think Elaine and Carol both are very nice and I know they are busy, but this is getting so frustrating and lately I feel like I've just been put off. I was very nice but firm today when I talked to Elaine and hopefully that will get results. I know if I dont hear from them tomorrow I will be calling on Friday. If I have to I will ask to speak to Dr Pohl, but I'll give it a few more days.
