I remember seeing a post somewhere about Disney and the restaurant card.  The person that posted said Disney was GREAT about it.   I remember seeing it on this site, but not sure if it was even in someone's blog or not.  Sorry for no first hand experience- but I hope it helps- and have an INCREDIBLE time!  What a great program!!

ok- I remember where I saw the thing about Disney- it was in someone's blog- this is it:  "Anyone who has planned a Disney trip knows that there is a special phone number to call to make Priority Seating arrangements for the Disney World theme park and resort restaurants. Well, when I was making my several PS arrangements I happened to mention that I had gastric bypass surgery and have a restaurant card. The rep told me that they are seeing more and more Gastric Bypass patients and are happy to accommodate. She suggested that I show my restaurant card and that all of the restaurants will either let me share a meal, order off the child's menu or let me get a half portion for half price. She also told me that the will charge me the child's price for the buffets. This is great news especially since we are doing 3 character buffet meals and there's a $10-$12 difference between the adult and child price. I couldn't eat $20.00 worth of food even if I wanted to! :-) These accommodations are going to save a few pennies and anyone who has been to Disney knows that the food prices are highly inflated. "

I hope you have a great time!  This card does not allow you to purchase smaller dinners.  It does nothing that you just asking can do.  Restaurants have no obligation to do anything different than they normally do.  I just want to make this clear because I have seen other people on other boards get all annoyed when the request was denied.

What several of us need to do is PROVIDE a GB restaurant for people. It would be a smashing hit, if you ask me!  This has been running through my head for a couple of months now.  What better way to serve the community of GB Patients?  There are more out there than we can really imagine and it would help break the grounds of screwing up because of fast food and the like! The ideal business! ~Dawn~
