Freindly advice from someone who is two years out (RNY 5/16/2005):  Try vitalady.com. You can buy samples and try them without buying a big jug. My personal favorites are IDS Isopure Cappuccino, Vanilla Cinnamon, and Belgian Chocolate, there is another one called banana scream, but it's not by IDS. I prefer mine mixed with water, but some people mix them with milk. At two years out, I still make sure to get one shake in per day - and I still enjoy them. I also still go to the deli and ask for 3-4oz of chicken salad for lunch. Sometimes I would roll up turkey and cheese and eat that. Both are good sources of protein. Tuna bothered my stoma for some reason, so I stuck with the chicken. Another great lunch - cottage cheese w/chive on rosemary & olive oil triscuit crackers - great protein and fiber! That is my favorite lunch. Hope this helps!

thanks.  I love the cottage cheese w/ chives.  I am sure I will be eating a lot of that.  regular old deli chix. salad.  Good to know, I love that too.  Willow tree, is that ok.  I know there trick is brown sugar.  Not sure if that will make you dump.

Thanks,

jen

Hi Jen:

I have tried a LOT of different protein powders and my FAVORITE is BSN Syntha-6 Chocolate Protein Powder. I bought a funnel and I put 1 scoop in the bottom of an empty Poland Springs bottle, fill it up with water and shake it until the powder dissolves. It tastes really good, like chocolate milk.

The only downside is that its really expensive, $43.00 for 2.9 lb container at GNC.

The Isopure drinks vary by flavor, the Green and Red ones taste really good to me.

Let me know if you need any more info!
