WLSS Support Group Holiday Party
Permission is pending for the Gerry House. Its free.
Sue got excited hearing about the Bariatric dishes that will be brought. Whatever level people are on, thats what the guideline is for the specific dish, that way, nobody is left out if someone is immediately post-op and can't have normal (three months down the line) food, there will be perhaps Protein Shakes that will be there for them.
I see no reason why spouses or partners can't come, it would be a great time for them to experience the world of bariatrics.
I am going to suggest that Kelly, Sue, (?) the older lady... errrr can't remember her name, Kathleen, Dr. Ryder, Dr. Roye all be invited as well. They have been there for all the meetings and its a damn good time to thank them for all they've done.
I will be posting as soon as word comes through if we have the Gerry House for the party and start taking email addresses for it. So, December 8, 2007 is a tentative date.

Update on Gerry House for the party.
Sue was kind enough to contact me earlier to let me know where we stand. Unfortunately, we cannot hold the party on a weekend at the Gerry House due to the cir****tances of Security, Liabilities and an extra needed staff for this and the cost of all this would be to great on the hospital.
Alternative is: During the November meeting, there will be a discussion about the holiday party to be held on December 5, 2007 which is the meeting for the Weight Loss Success Striders. Options: Dec 5th, we can do the normal 30 minutes of Topic then hold the gathering or not have the topic at all and just have the gathering. The reason being for this is that the Gerry House has already been reserved and is okay with the hospital.
So, something to think about for the next upcoming meeting. Personally, I think it's a great idea anyways, also FREE and besides, this will get more people into the support group from OH board.
