DECLINED

OMG I'm so angry!!!!! On July 9 I sent a letter to my PCP asking for weights for the whole time I have been going there, 3 years.  They didn't do it and now I'm declined because of them!!!!!!! I tried to be nice when I called but I really wanted to rip someone a new one if you catch my drift!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGG!!!!! Leslie

I just called Dr. Pohl and apparently my PCP sent a bunch of stuff immediately via fax.  I guess if you speak strongly but nicely, you get action.  I just pray now that Carol can get a letter of acceptance for me.  Fingers crossed, Leslie

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Dont you just love Carol? I just spoke to her too about my insurance request. I thought mine had been submitted for approval, but according to Carol it hasnt yet. I guess they are waiting for it to be transcribed. Hopefully I'll know some time this week. Who is your insurance company?

It is Aetna.  Jim works for Cox Cable and they have the worst benefits package (except the free cable lol).

I'll tell you, Carol is the ONLY one of those Office _________ (you fill it in) that I like.  She is always very nice and she actuality has a personality.   As far as being denied, hang in there and Appeal, appeal, appeal.  We are all here for you!! My Best, Lauren

I just adore the office manager, Elaine (?) She and Carol both have been great when I've dealt with them, some of the others I have to agree I kind of feel like I've been blown off with, but just ADORE those 2 ladies.  I think its harder when you go to E Providence maybe since they dont get to know you? I liked the woman at the E Prov office as well, I didnt catch her name, but she seemed really nice and upbeat when I talked to her.

Carol seems to be fine.  Until last week, I had seen Dr. Pohl only at the East Providence office, so the Johnston staff didn't know me and so they basically blew me off.  Then I put myself in front of them, they got to know me a bit, I made nice-nice with them and they are working for me now.  I am hoping Carol will put my stuff back in right away and Aetna will be as quick with an approval as they were with a decline. Thanks for being there for me.  It's been a tough day. Leslie

Talked with Carol today.  God love Dr. Pohl,  he's calling the doctors at Aetna for a peer review on Thursday so that he can try to get this approved without waiting for the 30 day appeal.  I should know something Thursday afternoon or Friday.  I'm hoping I will be posting a whoopee!  post then.  Leslie
