Anyone interested in an informal OH get-together??

I thought it might be fun to have a little get together for all the Rhode Island OH members. I'm just putting feelers out at this point - would anyone be interested in this? We can try to figure out date/time later. I'm open to any suggestions! Maybe something around the holidays? Anyone have any ideas for location? Is having it at a restaurant weird or OK?? I figured it we meet somewhere neutral, then nobody has to have "hosting" duties.  Give me some feedback, people! THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I've actually thought several times about this, but wasnt sure where to begin! I am very in and would be happy to help with any planning.  The only places I know are around Bristol, but The British Tearoom is great here and very cozy!

I was thinking the same thing.  If you want we can do a Pot Luck and I would be happy to have it at my house.  Whatever you all want. Jen

I guess we are all on the same page. I too was thinking about bringing a Christmas party together. I think its a great idea. I agree we should do a pot luck and bring a OH meal that we love the most. Suggestion:    If I am capable of getting the Gov. Sprague Mansion in Cranston at a substantial low cost... Would you all be willing to have it there?  I am a member of the Cranston Historical Society and have discounts. Would you like me to check into it for rate and dates?

I dont know how everyone feels about Bristol, but the Cup Defenders assoc over here has a hall that rents for $25/hr and has a really nice large kitchen that is included along with tables and chairs also.

I don't mind Bristol (I live in prov but work in Warren), but a lot of Rhode Islanders don't like to drive to the East Bay!
