Question..
I am having RNY and Dr Pohl will be removing my GallBladder, this will be my 5th surgery.
I had an emergency C-section with my oldest, a 2nd surgery to remove infection at the incision after she was born , a second C-section with my middle due to complications, and finally a 3rd c-section with my youngest, because well....after 2 c-sections they didnt want to risk a natural birth.
Hey All,
I have had a lot of minor stuff done, usually under a local. My most scary time was the emergency c-section with my son. I was awake, (thank god), but they knocked me out afterwards to do the closing and repair. Recovery was difficult, but I expected much worse. Does anyone know how this compares to a c-sec. This will be the first time I am ever out under general and intubated. That scares me. My sister woke up during a surgery and still had the tube in her throat. I am so scared that will happen. Ooh well, I am still so excited I am getting this done.

OOh yeah, I am having RNY..
I had a c-section and lap surgery with Dr. Pohl and Jeremy. Compared to the c-section, the lap surgery was a walk in the park, I was driving three days after my surgery (I drive a standard) I was doing all kinds of things that I could not do after the section. I even asked Dr. Pohl if he was sure he did surgery on me because it didn't feel like any surgery I ever had before. The only problem I had was no energy and I was very sleepy for about a month after surgery.
Good Luck
