scale woes

This week was not a good weigh in for me.  In the first few weeks the weight just melted off, 7lbs a week.  This week and it was only 4.  And that was in the begining of the week.  I weighed myself on Tuesday and today I'm the same weight.  It's a little frustrating because these last few days I've really been doing well.  Have actually gotten in all my protein and been exercising every day.  Maybe it's just my body adjusting to everything. Hopefully next week will be better results.

Good Morning Dave, That's exactly what it is...your body adjusting to losing so much weight so fast.  Don't worry about it, as losing weight too fast is not good!!! Bad for the liver! The slower the better, it stays off much longer.  How much have you lost so far?  Carol b

Thanks, I also moved stages from purees to soft meats, so that may have something to do with it.  And before I know I wasn't getting in all the protein, and the last 3 days I've gotten my protien up to 50 or more a day, so it could be my body adjusting to that also. Still like everyone I like to see lots of movement on that scale.

Dave, dont worry your body needs to adjust to everything that is happening to it. You could be retaining fluid, heat and weather as well as sodium intake may make you retain extra fluid. Keep up the good work and make sure you drink plenty of fluids that will help.  Marc

Hi Dave,  I went through the same thing a few weeks after surgery. All I can say is RELAX! It will come off, I promise. I know how frustrating it is...been there, done that. For some reason, around week 3-5, a lot of people hit a plateau. The body is going into "starvation mode" and trying to hang on to all the calories it gets. Just keep moving, keep up with your fluids and protein, and hang in there!
