Which psych?

I need to schedule my psych appointment. I know that I can either go to Dr. Friedman or Dr. Zimmerman and I know from reading on here that one is better than the other in regards to amount of time you spend there, etc. I believe that even though you have to pay for Dr. F, it is worth it in the end because he is really great and you only have to go once. I would appreciate some advice. And....I got my approval for bypass even though I had originally wanted the band. Yippee!!

Dr. F was the best.  I left there and felt great about my decision to have RNY.  He was much less expensive and it only took about an hour and a half.  The other Doc's were somewhere like 3 hours and 500.00.  Dr. F's receptionist is awesome also.  Call her and she gives you all the info you will ever need.  She was so great.  She really made my decision for me.  I did not have a good conversation with the lady in the other Doc's office.  So I guess you now know how I feel about both of them.  You decide!  I love Dr. F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey jen...thanks for the advice. my doctor is dean roye. i received my approval about two weeks ago, but am still waiting for the packet from the doctor's office. my sleep study initial appointment is sept. 25 and my nutrition appointment is tomorrow. this is exciting! i am struggling with the length of time it takes to get this all done. we shall see, because i would like this done on christmas vacation. where do you work because you look really familiar. navy wife huh? my dad was a commander. lifelong navy man.

Not working now, just at home w/ my 3 kiddo's.  I am from Midd. but married 7 years ago and left.  I came back a year ago and we live in Tiv.  I use to work at Bank of Newport.  Would I know you?  My maiden name was Jen Moniz now I am Jen Mays.  You should come to the support meeting Wed. night.  I will be going for the first time.  I have Dr. Roye too.   I really like him. i would love to go to support group, but i have class on wed. night. busy day! gym, teaching, coaching, physiology class. aahhhh! how long has it taken you to get these tests done, from the time of your approval?

Actually, I have not been approved yet.  I am having the final test done today and they can send for approval.  Hopefully, I will know by the end of the week or early next week. Jen
