i called my doctor yesterday to see if he recommended any diets to help me lose weight because i am not losing weight , but i am losing inches, i am not sure how many but some of my pants are getting lose on me , also some of the pants i was not able to put on i can get on. i have not had surgery yet he said i have to lose 30 to 40 pounds before he would consider . do you think me losing inches will help me . or do you think he will say to lose the weight  . he also said to exercise more if i am only losing inches but i already walk around block after every meal so does anyone have any suggestions for me .

Dear Patti Jo, He needs to put you on a diet himself or refer you to a nutritionist who will..  If you could lose 30 or 40 pounds on your own, you wouldn't need him to begin with, would you? Exercise helps, but when you are obese, that can be mighty difficult. Good luck! Islander

I agree with Islander.  Get a diet from him, but like I told you the other day, it will probably be liquid.  Good luck. Jen
