I am going back to doctors semp.14 after month doc says need to lose weight before surg. but have not lost any yet ,but i have lost inches my family said they can tell but do you think doc. will i am so worried that it wont be enough to convince him since he said i have to lose 30 to 40 pounds before he would even cosider surg. i know its good i lost inches but i want to see scale move. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING JUST NEEDED TO GET OFF CHEST
How many inches are we talking? There are many reasons that the Dr. wants you to loose weight prior to surgery. They need to get a good luck at the liver and if there is to much fat in the way, it is hard for them to do. Mabye if you lost enough inches, that would do it. Dont give up yet, even if he tells you to loose more. You are on your way to a more healthy person, And if getting there you have to wait a bit longer, than just do it. We are all here for you if you need us.

What kind of diet have you done to try and loose weight before surgery? Maybe you need the liquid diet. I hear it is very strict, but it works well.
Who is your surgeon? Most Dr's can reccommend a medically supervised liquid diet. Slimfast is ok,but I know how you feel about being hungry. I would ask your Dr. what they suggest. I see a lot of people doing the no suger added Carnation Instant Breakfast. 3-4 a day and a dinner of lean meat and veggies. You could try to snack on raw carrots and celery between slimfast shakes also. I like to chew and this usually helpS.
Good Luck,
