Sleep study

Wow, this is going very fast.  I was on a cancellation list at Newport Hosp. for the sleep study and I got in tonight.  My original appt. was not until the end of Sept.  I also got my date for the EGD test.  That is Aug. 24th.  I am still freaking out about that one.  Now I have to get the nutrition appt. done and we can send for approval.  YEAH!!!!!!!!!!  Does anyone hane the # for the lady in Tiverton that Dr. Roye uses for the Nutrition appt.  I am not at home and her # is there.  I cant even remember her name, Ferris is the last name I think.  I would like to call her and see if I can get in soon.  My appt. is not until 20 Sept.  I hate to wait that long if I don thave to. Wow, what a night.  Does anyone know how long it takes for the results of the study.  The tech. said I would hear from the Dr., I just don't know when.  I am not even sure if I have to go back for the second night.  They never tried the treatment so I dont know if it is because they ran out of time, or I just did not stop breathing. He had the nerve to ask me this morning, "How did you sleep".  I felt like saying, "you dummy, you know how I slept.  ****TY"  How are you supposed to sleep with a zillion wires connected to you head.  I was laughting so hard when I saw myself, I almost pee'd my pants! Glad that is over! Jen

Hi Jen,    It's fun huh?  I, like you woke up miserable.  "Did you sleep well?"  she asked.  I didn't sleep!  I slept worse than at home!!  Who can sleep with all those things attached to ya. "You slept" she said. If I slept, then I was fully aware the whole night. As for results, it takes a couple of days. I too did not have the treatment. I have to go back though. They said I never achieved a specific sleep level for them to treat me. I thought I was all set because the mask was never applied. I go for my second one next Monday at Miriam Hosp. I was thrilled it was over, till I got the word I had to go back! Good Luck Jen!
