If looking for Psy Dr- Dr Roye's list
Good morning friends, Well I'm happy to say I just booked all my appointments from the list Dr. Roye's office sent me. If all goes well I should be done before the end of september. It was a lot easier than I thought getting everything all set. I have something every week starting 9-4. In case anyone is looking for one of the Psych from the list I just wanted you to know that Dr. Friedman was the easiest one to get an appt with. I just called yesterday and they actually could have seen me THIS month but I decided to wait until Sept since I do have to pay and all my other appts are in Sept. If anyone has HMO Blue New England(blue cross) does not cover any of the doctors on that list. I spoke to my insurance co. and because they are not on their list and I do not have some kind of extended coverage that allows me to go into other networks I will have to pay for the visit and cannot get reimbursed for it. For any one who has to pay here is what I found out: Dr. Friedman charges $300 for his visit which his secretary(who is wonderful by the way) said lasts about 2 hrs. You get your report very quickly and you're done. The other 3 drs on the list(messier, zimmerman etc) charge $300 for the first visit which is 2 1/2 hrs and then you have to come back for a 1/2 hour review of the report for another $250 for a lovely total of $550 . The wait is a lot longer for them. I was told yesterday the earliest I could get was October. So Dr. Friedman is the one I went with and after talking to his secretary I couldn't be happier. I hope this helps some of you with insurance problems. His secretary will tell you how you can possibly get your insurance to reinburse you so don't be discouraged. It's still possible you could get some of the money back. I hope this helps some of you who need to pay. Have a great day everyone.
