Question for Dr. Royes Patients

You need to talk to the Surgeon or NP about the gallbladder and the stones thats a decision the surgeon needs to make.  Also I would ask the doctor about the amount of radation you will be exposed to with the three tests in one day.  Good luck  Marc

I have an appointment with Dr. Zimmerman at the end of September.  If you can dish out $300.00 I would make an appointment with Dr. Friedman his Secretary is wonderful.  I can't dish out $300.00 I have three kids going back to school.    I didn't have to have the HIDA or GBEF.  Are your getting the Lap Band or RNY? 

I was originally having the lap band but after reading a multitude of people on this website and on Lapband.com I decided long range RNY would be better financially and more of a permanent tool for wl. What are you getting?  I may check with BC to see if they would reimbursee me if I see Dr. Friedman.  You said your appt is for the end of Sept with Dr. Zimmerman.  When did you call and is that the earliest? I have two in college so  I really don't want to pay 300 for a visit but if you have to wait until the end of sept  I can't imagine when I'll get an appointment.  I will have to think about this.  I hate the thought of waiting  until oct/nov to complete everything and from what I hear the appts for Dr. Friedman don't take as long to get. I'm getting the Lap Band I just like that its less invasive and recovery is quicker.  You would have to pay up front with Dr. Friedman and then submit to B/C  depending on your Deductible they would reimbuse you I believe 80% of what they would cover.  Dr. Friedman books alot quicker.  I called for my appointment  2 weeks ago and His secretary said they were booking within 2 weeks.  I just can't afford to pay 300 up front  Book your sleep study first thing Monday morning.  My sleep study eval is at the beginning of Sept.  Then I still have to have my Sleep Study if they think I need it.   It doesn't seem as bad now I'm looking probably finishing everything by Sept.-Oct.  but I've waited 10 years to lose weight I can wait a couple of weeks.  I think with getting kids ready for School will make the time pass.
