I need all the suggestions I can get. It's been 2 weeks since my 1st fill, and 4 weeks since I've lost any weight. I've found and lost the same 2 lbs for 4 weeks. I am barely able to take in 1 cup of food at times, the most is 1 1/2 C. I try to eat the protien 1st (chicken, grnd beef, cottage cheese) then some veggies. The 'soft" signs of fullness I had post op are gone. Now, wham--I'm almost ready to PB without warning. I know sometimes I eat too fast, or the bite may be too big, but even when I'm very careful I get slammed. I know I could drink more liquids. What else can I do ??? Thanks,      Patty

HI Pat, Chew chew chew - small small small - slow slow slow.  Keep this in mind - It should take you at least 20 min to eat a meal.  I found that I got over confident and didn't follow these rules and 1) I was eating more than I thought and 2) I missed the soft signs...  Mine now is a hiccup, it used to be just a feeling.  So they do change a bit.  As for no weight loss...this time is hard because your body is still adjusting to the small amount of food it is being given.  Evaluate how much fat and carb is in your diet.  Also, what are you doing for exsercise? For liquids it is so important to get them throughout your day.  They help your skin stay healthy and remove toxins from your body.  It also helps with restriction because when I am dehydrated I cannot even drink a protein shake.  Keep a water bottle with you throughout the day.  I have a huge 32oz one that sits on my desk all day long - sip sip sip... You might also want to solicit some advice from the lapband board.  Good Luck...

patty, sorry to hear you are not doing well.   although i have not yet been banded, so have no real experience, it does sound like you are eating more than  you should be able to.  in looking over my diet, the after six weeks no where has more than one cup of food and that is when they are light foods.  talk to the nut. and  get clear on amounts of protein, carbs, etc.   hope you will be doing well when jeannie comes.  call me to firm up plans.  i took the day off work so i'm available any time.  401-737-2754 home  569-7989 cell 222-7279 work--8:30 to 4  out this fri and next tues and wed,

Thanks everyone. I think I needed a pep talk to get my a$$ back in gear! I know what I should and shouldn't be doing, but being reminded every now and again helps. Patty
