Testling list for Dr Pohl

I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I go in to see Dr Pohl. For all you alumni of his, Is there a list of all the tests he requires prior to surgery? I'm attending the seminar next week, and I think I know most all the tests, but want to make sure I'm not missing any.  Anyone have a list? Thanks!

Thank you Kim! I sent you a reply back.  Now I'm beginning to wonder if I will run into a problem with insurance covering these tests? I think I'll give my PCP a call and see about referrals, or does Dr Pohls office send over referrals?

Angela, You will get a list of tests and providers, at the seminar.  You have to bring the list with you to his office after you complete all the testing.  I'm telling you this because I made all kinds of notes on my list and was embarassed when he asked to see the list.  I have Blue Chip insurance and was able to make my own appointments, some I made with his recommended doctors, my pcp made the appointment (sleep test takes a while to get an appointment). Thanks Pat,  oddly enough, I have a sleep appointment already, my PCP referred me after my physical and I go to Newport on Sept 1. Thanks for your reply, I'm just trying to get as many appointments made as possible, kind of help speed things along..you know?

When you have your first appointment Dr Pohl will go over the tests that he wants you to have before surgery, that way they should all be covered by your insurance provider. All of the doctor he sends you to are also familiar with his office procedures, going to his associates make life much easier. (This I know first hand as I went to some of my own doctors and paperwork issues came up), Some of the tests on the list I didnt need, so please wait until you see him.  Marc

I agree with Marc, not every body needs the same tests so you should wait till you see him to find out what ones you need. Claudia
