Help with Liquid diet

I started my liquid diet yesterday drinking the EAS, Slimfast Lowcarb and the Adkins Advantage protein shakes.  But I just realized that the flyer I received from Dr. Giovanni's office says No Dairy.  All of the shakes I mentioned have dairy in them.  What shakes are available in local markets that meet Dr. Giovanni's criteria?  Thanks for the help.

Landa, When I spoke with the office they said to drink protein shakes, or carnation instant breakfast.  I asked about the milk with the carnation instant breakfast and they said it was ok.  They also said that a little milk in my coffee was ok.  I think when they say no dairy they mean no glasses of milk, cheese, ice cream ect.

hi Yolanda, When is your surgery?? You're obviously close if you're already on liquids. You must be getting so excited! I drank No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast the whole time, made with skim milk. Emilie is right, but it is confusing! Good luck! Krista

Hi Landa, I was at Dr Giovanni's office on Monday and I asked about Atkens and they said no, just the shakes they sell or carnation instant breakfast. You may want to double check with them.  I plan on calling them before I start, just to be sure I'm doing everything correctly and go over things again. Good luck on your surgery. ...dave

Thanks for the feedback.  I thought I was prepared...I'd been purchasing premade shakes since June, but decided to check with you guys and the doc's office.   Hey Krista, I totally forgot about this weeks meeting until I read your post yesterday.  My sister's getting married on Saturday so EVERYTHING is crazy around here but I'm sticking with the liquid diet.  My surgery date is August 14th at 12:30 but I have to be there an hour earlier and I have my pre-admission on the 7th.  Due to the hecticness of the wedding and the family all coming into town I really don't have time to focus on the actual surgery.  Right now I'm just trying to make sure that I stick to the liquid diet(the right way).  Once the wedding is over and some relatives start heading home, I'm sure reality will set in.  Will you be going to Tuesday's meeting?  I would love to see you before surgery.  I'm sure you look and feel amazing?!
