Got my Date!

I got my date today.  Dr Giovanni's office called and I'm set up for August 28!!!!! I'm so excited.  I start the liquid diet on the 14th and have Pre-Op tests on the 21.

Now I can put a coutdown on my profile. ....dave

YAH DAVE!! COngrats on the date!  Ahh, August 28th - trust me, it will be here before you  know it (I go back to work then!)  I tried your breakfast suggestion with the Atkins Advantage and I am happily surprised that it does hold me and satisfy me.  I have been eating the apple crisp breakfast bar.  I have a question, though.  I'm trying to not drink before I eat and during eating.  However, I take some meds in the am with breakfast and take a bite, a pill, and a drink.  How will that work after surgery?  Hope to see you next week - I had my neice and nephew today.  Jules

I also have to take pills with my meals, so I only use a little bit of water.  I'll just ask Dr Giovanni what to do when I'm discharged from the hospital.  Hopefully I won't be on as much meds when I get out. I did talk to the office the other day about the shakes and Atkins isn't allowed on the two week fast.  It's either their shakes or carnation instant breakfast. But I think starting to get used to any shake has been good for me, since it won't be such a big deal in a few weeks when I start the liquid diet. .....dave
