Hey everyone,     Just needed to vent my frustrations and I knew just who to go to and who will understand.  I have not had any restriction since June 22 .  Got a 1 cc Lap-Band fill June 12th and it was heavenly for 10 days then it was gone (where did it go).  For the past 5 weeks I have been struggling not over-eat  but 1 cup of food is definitely not cutting it. I am not losing, pretty much staying the same, but what I could have lost by now is what I think about (at least another 8-10 lbs).  My fill is scheduled for the Aug. 2nd.  Had a doctors appt. on July 9 and they couldn't get me in any sooner than Aug. 2.   Anyone have any suggestions on how to satisfy my appetite without sabotaging my progress? I am all out of ideas and still have 1 1/2 weeks to go.  I am so miserable. Keep your head up, im sure you will get past your plateau. Have you increased your water ? What about exercise? Are you getting in lots of protein? Hi Nancy, I don't know much about restriction since I'm not  banded yet.  Try and get more protein if your not yet.  Maybe some cheese if you are allowed.  Cottage cheese always helps me at the 3pm hunger pangs at work.  Protein is supposed to curb your appetite.

I'm sorry you feel so frustrated. You may not feel like you are losing, but muscle weighs more than fat. You may have lost fat and replaced it with muscle! I've used soy crisps to tide myself over between meals. They're crunchy, sweet or salty, and are a good source of protien. My dietitian suggested them. Why do you have to wait so long between fills?  (June 12--> Aug 2) Patty

That was the best appt. I could get, don't know why it took so long.

Sorry to hear you are going through so much Nancy.    When I need doses of food to refrain me from goudging myself and stumbbling on a diet.  I make hard boiled eggs and put them in the frig for those moments. I pull one out, peal and put mustard on them (no cal's) and enjoy... it's a definite appetite breaker! Good Luck Nancy.

Nancy, do you schedule your next appointments at your last?  Seems like such a long time.....  I am sorry you are having trouble...you are so close now.

Danielle, There is a follow-up appt. in between fills.  The appt. is usually 1 month after a fill.  At the follow-up appt. the next fill appt. is made. Nancy
