NO INSURANCE
I am not sure how much it is. But if you go on the lapband board there are a bunch of self-pays there.

I don't believe you need insurance to get an appointment. Most doctors have other requirements before they will see you. For instance, mine Dr. Pohl requires that you go his informational meeting before he will see you.
Good luck!
Hi Lisa
In regards to the out-of-pocket expense for lapband procedure. During the Seminar that Dr. Pohl gives (which Danielle mentions) and the cost runs between
11,000 - 13,000. Thats For surgery, In-Patient, and Anestesia. Not sure if there are any extra cost for all the tests, which might be included in that too.
Good Luck!

Hi Lisa, part of my job is dealing with health care issues for my guys. I mainly deal with BCBS of RI and if surgery is needed to an injured employee BCBS of RI negotiates the fee with the surgeon, other fees are preset by BCBS of RI ( they will only pay a set price for a certian procedure, doctors visits, room fees ect. ) I dont know what a doctor will charge for the surgery but Dr Polh stated it cost between 11,000.00 and 13,000.00 but I would budget between 15,000.00 and 20,000.00 depending on the surgeon and the other exam fees, The doctors & hospital will charge you full price for their services and not the preset prices that health insurance companies use.
Good luck !
